Seed

When selecting which variety of seed to plant for all our different crops we look for varieties that have exceptional flavour.  With some crops there are night and day differences in flavour so we want the ones that taste awesome. It can mean sacrificing size or appearance but we always want to be growing delicious food. The second thing we look for in seed varieties is that it does well in our soil. There are varieties that do great in heavy clay but when they are put in our sandy soil they don't do so well. The third thing we want is varieties that do well within our management systems. Seeds that are developed to be grown in baths of n,p,k fertilizers (mentioned above) and have tons of pesticides applied to survive don't work well on our farm.
